We solve the suboptimal Nehari problem for a transfer function that has a state-space realization as a system-stable (input, output and inputoutput stable) well-posed linear system. We obtain an explicit solution in terms of the state-space parameters.

We propose and prove an extended sampling theorem for linear time-varying systems. As a result, we establish a discrete-time equivalent model of the inputoutput relation of the system for the case of bandlimited inputs and bandlimited system variation. The sampling of the output signal and an equivalent discretetime model of the system are discussed.

We provide a new global small-gain theorem for feedback interconnections of monotone inputoutput systems with multi-valued input-state characteristics. This extends a recent small-gain theorem of Angeli and Sontag for monotone systems with singleton-valued characteristics. We prove our theorem using Thieme’s convergence theory for asymptotically autonomous systems. An illustrative example is al...

This paper describes a new idea how to use InputOutput Hidden Markov Models (IOHMMs) for the aggregation of performance models and reports about corresponding first experiments. The parameters of the IOHMM are calculated from observation sequences obtained from the input/output behaviour of the original model.

in the light of the 2008 world development report, this paper revisits the impact of agriculture on overall economic growth, in the case of an oil producing country, using indices of intersectoral linkages. to this end, four input-output tables of iran’s economy are utilized. the results support the importance of the agricultural sector in stimulating the economic growth of iran, but also s...

-This article presents a design principle of a neural network using Gaussian activation functions, referred to as a Gaussian Potential Function Network (GPFN), and explores the capability of a GPFN in learning a continuous input-output mapping from a given set of teaching patterns. The design principle is highlighted by a Hierarchically Self-Organizing Learning (HSOL) algorithm featuring the au...

In [15], the second author defined algebraic geometric codes over rings. This definition was motivated by two recent trends in coding theory: the study of algebraic geometric codes over finite fields, and the study of codes over rings. In that paper, many of the basic parameters of these new codes were computed. However, the Lee weight, which is very important for codes over the ring Z/4Z, was ...

This study presents the methodology and results of a transition risk climate stress test carried out for credit institutions, focusing on sectoral module developed analysis. Using network derived from an inputoutput table, distributes price shock between activities with higher greenhouse gas emission intensity related sectors. Results suggest that sectors largest exposure to are electricity sup...

The paper presents a short review how to use feedforward neural networks for non-linear system identification, with application at the neural implementation of a fuzzy system. In this application the inputoutput transfer characteristics of the fuzzy system are used to evaluate the accuracy of the identification results expressed for a neuro-fuzzy model. This method could be used for identificat...
