We present a form of the discrete dipole approximation for electromagnetic scattering computations in time domain. We show that the introduction of complex frequencies, through the Laplace transform, significantly improves the computation time. We also show that the Laplace transform and its inverse can be combined to extract the field inside a scatterer at a real resonance frequency.

this article is devoted to study of the autoconvolution equations and generalized mittag-leffler functions. these types of equations are given in terms of the laplace transform convolution of a function with itself. we state new classes of the autoconvolution equations of the first kind and show that the generalized mittag-leffler functions are solutions of these types of equations. in view of ...

In continuum one-dimensional space, a coupled directed continuous time random walk model is proposed, where the random walker jumps toward one direction and the waiting time between jumps affects the subsequent jump. In the proposed model, the Laplace-Laplace transform of the probability density function P(x, t) of finding the walker at position x at time t is completely determined by the Lapla...

Algebraic techniques based on Laplace transform are widely used for solving differential equations and evaluating transfer of signals while analyzing physical aspects of many safety-critical systems. To facilitate formal analysis of these systems, we present the formalization of Laplace transform using the multivariable calculus theories of HOL-Light. In particular, we use integral, differentia...

a dynamic two dimensional problem of thermoelasticity with double porous structure has been considered to investigate the disturbance due to normal force and thermal source. laplace and fourier transform technique is applied to the governing equations to solve the problem. the transformed components of stress and temperature distribution are obtained .the resulting expressions are obtained in t...

A new numerical method called high accuracy time and space transform method (TSTM) is introduced to solve the advection–diffusion equation in an unbounded domain. By a spatial transform, the advection– diffusion equation in the unbounded domain Rn is converted to one on the bounded domain [−1,1]n , and the Laplace transform is applied to eliminate time dependency. The consequent boundary value ...

A meshless method based on the local Petrov-Galerkin approach is proposed for solution of static and elastodynamic problems in a homogeneous anisotropic medium. The Heaviside step function is used as the test functions in the local weak form. It is leading to derive local boundary integral equations (LBIEs). For transient elastodynamic problems the Laplace transfor technique is applied and the ...

In this paper, a fundamental solution for the Mindlin plate theory with damping is derived in the Laplace transform domain first time. The applications of this fundamental solution are demonstrated by the method of fundamental solution (MFS). All variables in the time domain can be obtained by the Durbin’s Laplace transform inversion method. Numerical examples demonstrate the accuracy of the me...

The kinetics of a diffusing particle near a reversible trap may be described by an extension of the Feynman-Kac equation to the case of reversible binding, which can occur within a finite reaction sphere. We obtain the Green's function solution for the Laplace transform of this equation when the particle is initially either bound or unbound. We study the solution in the time-domain by either in...
