This correspondence deals with multiwavelets which are a recent generalization of wavelets in the context of time-varying lter banks and with their applications to signal processing and especially compression. By their inherent structure, multiwavelets are t for processing multi-channel signals. This is the main issue we will be interested in here. The outline of the paper is as follow. First, ...

This correspondence deals with multiwavelets, which are a recent generalization of wavelets in the context of time-varying filter banks and with their applications to signal processing and especially compression. By their inherent structure, multiwavelets are fit for processing multichannel signals. This is the main issue in which we will be interested here. The outline of the correspondence is...

In this survey paper, some of the basic properties of multiwavelets are reviewed. Particular emphasis is given to approximation-theoretic issues and sampling on compact intervals. In addition, a translation invariant multiwavelet transform is discussed and the regularity and approximation order of the associated correlation matrices, which satisfy a particular matrix-valued refinement equation,...

Let G be a countable group of unitary operators on a complex separable Hilbert space H. We give a characterization of biorthogonality among Riesz multiwavelets in terms of certain invariant properties of their associated core spaces. A large family of non-biorthogonal Riesz multiwavelets is exhibited. We also discuss some results on linear perturbation of orthonormal multiwavelets.

A plenty of research about thresholding methods in wavelet domain has been proposed by many authors. Multiwavelet domain can be decomposed as scalar wavelets and differently according to the structure of scaling functions. When scaling functions are symmetric-antisymmetric, the antisymmetric part is low pass filter in mathematical formula. But in practice it works as high pass filter because of...

The paper generalizes Lawton s criteria for scaling vectors by means of Kronecker products Necessary and su cient conditions for the stability orthonormality of scaling vectors are provided in terms of their two scale symbols The paper is based on the results of Shen x Introduction Usually the construction of multiwavelets is based on a multiresolution anal ysis MRA with higher multiplicity In ...

This paper investigates the efficiency of unbalanced versus balanced multiwavelets in stereo correspondence matching. A multiwavelet transform is first applied to a pair of stereo images to decorrelate them into a number of subbands. Information in the approximation subbands of an unbalanced multiwavelet carries different spectral content of the input image while the balanced multiwavelet appro...

Vector wavelet transforms for vector-valued fields can be implemented directly from multiwavelets; however, existing multiwavelets offer surprisingly poor performance for transforms in vector-valued signal-processing applications. In this paper, the reason for this performance failure is identified, and a remedy is proposed. A multiwavelet design criterion, omnidirectional balancing, is introdu...

There are perfect construction formulas for the orthonormal uniwavelet. However, it seems that there is not such a good formula with similar structure for multiwavelets. Especially, construction of multiwavelets with dilation factor a(a ≥ 2, a ∈ Z) lacks effective methods. In this paper, a procedure for constructing compactly supported orthonormal multiscale functions is first given, and then b...

In computer science and digital electronics, a bit matrix multiplier (BMM) is mathematical operation that used to quickly multiply binary matrices. BMM basic component of many algorithms utilized in fields including machine learning, image processing, cryptography. creates new represents the product two input matrices by performing logical AND XOR operations on each element’s value. crucial met...
