در بررسی­­­­­­­­­­هایی که طی سالهای 1389-1388 برای جمع آوری و شناسایی کنه های خانواده macrochelidae در منطقه دانشگاه آزاد اسلامی واحد علوم و تحقیقات فارس صورت گرفت، تعداد شش گونه از این خانواده جمع­آوری و شناسایی شد که در میان آنها گونه  holostaspella ornate (berles) برای اولین بار از ایران گزارش می­شود.
