In this study, we determined the complete genome sequence of a mosaic bacteriophage, Waukesha92, which was isolated from soil using Bacillus thuringiensis as the host organism. This temperate Myoviridae bacteriophage has similarities to phages SpaA1 and BceA1 and the Bacillus thuringiensis plasmid pBMB165.

vB_PaeM_CEB_DP1 is a Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteriophage (phage) belonging to the Pbunalikevirus genus of the Myoviridae family of phages. It was isolated from hospital sewage. vB_PaeM_CEB_DP1 is a double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) phage, with a genome of 66,158 bp, containing 89 predicted open reading frames.

Herein, we report the complete genome sequence of the Staphylococcus Myoviridae phage pSco-10 infecting Staphylococcus cohnii The phage pSco-10 was isolated from duck feces collected from four farms in South Korea. The current report provides valuable information for genomic study of phages.

We report the sequences of nine novel Bacillus cereus group bacteriophages: DIGNKC, Juglone, Nemo, Nigalana, NotTheCreek, Phrodo, SageFayge, Vinny, and Zuko. These bacteriophages are double-stranded DNA-containing Myoviridae isolated from soil samples using B. thuringiensis subsp. kurstaki as the host bacterium.

The Siphoviridae family of bacteriophages is the largest viral family on earth and comprises members infecting both bacteria and archaea. Lactococcal siphophages infect the Gram-positive bacterium Lactococcus lactis, which is widely used for industrial milk fermentation processes (e.g., cheese production). As a result, lactococcal phages have become one of the most thoroughly characterized clas...

The Bacillus cereus group bacteriophage TsarBomba, a double-stranded DNA Myoviridae, was isolated from soil collected in Saratov, Russia. TsarBomba was found to be similar to Bacillus phages BCP78 and BCU4, and to have a wide host range among Bacillus cereus group species.

Det7 is a Myoviridae bacteriophage that gains entry into its Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium host cells by adsorbing to O-antigen polysaccharide. We report here the complete 157,498-bp sequence of its genome. Det7, together with its Vi01-like relatives, are distantly related to phage T4.

Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae is a reemerging pathogen which causes bacterial canker of kiwifruit (Actinidia sp.). Since 2008, a global outbreak of P. syringae pv. actinidiae has occurred, and in 2010 this pathogen was detected in New Zealand. The economic impact and the development of resistance in P. syringae pv. actinidiae and other pathovars against antibiotics and copper sprays have ...

vB_PaeP_PcyII-10_P3P1 and vB_PaeM_PcyII-10_PII10A are Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteriophages belonging, respectively, to the Lit1virus genus of the Podoviridae family and the Pbunavirus genus of the Myoviridae family. Their genomes are 72,778 bp and 65,712 bp long, containing 94 and 93 predicted open reading frames, respectively.
