Ordered weighted averaging (OWA) operators and their extensions are powerful tools used in numerous decision-making problems. This class of operator belongs to a more general family of aggregation operators, understood as discrete Choquet integrals. Aggregation operators are usually characterized by indicators. In this article four indicators usually associated with the OWA operator are extende...
In this paper we show how the distribution of the discrete Choquet integral can be analytically computed. The advantage of having an analytical expression is that the value of the cumulative distribution function (cdf) can be computed exactly for the Choquet. We also derive an expression for the density of the Ordered Weighted Average (OWA) operator, which is a special case of the Choquet.
The ordered weighted average (OWA) is an aggregation operator that provides a parameterized family of operators between the minimum and the maximum. This paper presents the OWA weighted average distance operator. The main advantage of this new approach is that it unifies the weighted Hamming distance and the OWA distance in the same formulation and considering the degree of importance that each...
Weighted means and ordered weighted averaging (OWA) operators are well-known functions widely used in aggregation processes. Although both are defined through weighting vectors, their behavior is quite different: The weighted means allow to weight each information source in relation to their reliability while OWA operators allow to weight the values according to their ordering. Nevertheless, th...
We consider different types of aggregation operators such as the heavy ordered weighted averaging (HOWA) operator and the fuzzy ordered weighted averaging (FOWA) operator. We introduce a new extension of the OWA operator called the fuzzy heavy ordered weighted averaging (FHOWA) operator. The main characteristic of this aggregation operator is that it deals with uncertain information represented...
In the classical theory of social choice, there exist many voting procedures for determining a collective preference on a set of alternatives. The simplest situation happens when a group of individuals has to choose between two alternatives. In this context, some voting procedures such as simple and absolute special majorities are frequently used. However, these voting procedures do not take in...
It sounds good when knowing the recent developments in the ordered weighted averaging operators theory and practice in this website. This is one of the books that many people looking for. In the past, many people ask about this book as their favourite book to read and collect. And now, we present hat you need quickly. It seems to be so happy to offer you this famous book. It will not become a u...
In 1988 Ronald R. Yager [14] introduced a new aggregation technique based on the ordered weighted averaging (OWA) operators. The goal of this paper is to present a short survey of of OWA operators and illustrate their applicability by a real-life example.
The road safety performance of countries is conducted by combining seven main risk indicators into one index using a particular weighting and aggregation method. Weights can be determined with respect to the assumed importance of the indicator, whereas aggregation operators can be used to stress better performances differently from worse performances irrespective of the indicator’s meaning. In ...
The conventional method of aggregating the satisfaction of transport projects with respect to multiple attributes is commonly some variant of Simple Additive Weighting (SAW), which involves the sum of products of standardized outcomes of projects with respect to attributes and attribute importance weights. It is suggested that alternative forms of aggregation might be more useful, in particular...
