Clustering for the analysis of the genes organizes the patterns into groups by the similarity of the dataset and has been used for identifying the functions of the genes in the cluster and analyzing the functions of unknown genes. Since the genes usually belong to multiple functional families, fuzzy clustering methods are more appropriate than the conventional hard clustering methods which assi...

A generalized prototype-based classi2cation scheme founded on hierarchical clustering is proposed. The basic idea is to obtain a condensed 1-NN classi2cation rule by merging the two same-class nearest clusters, provided that the set of cluster representatives correctly classi2es all the original points. Apart from the quality of the obtained sets and its 5exibility which comes from the fact tha...

Clustering analysis is an important technology in the field of pattern extraction and recognition. In order to find the influence of several factors on clustering results using different algorithms and support the decision for power load pattern extraction using clustering techniques, this paper develops the research on the influence of several factors on clustering results using different algo...

Usually web search results are represented as long list of document snippets. It is difficult for users to navigate through this collection of text. We propose clustering method that uses pattern structure constructed on augmented syntactic parse trees. In addition, we compare our method to other clustering methods and demonstrate the limitations of the competitive methods.

The starting point of this work is the definition of local pattern detection given in [10] as the unsupervised detection of local regions with anomalously high data density, which represent real underlying phenomena. We discuss some aspects of this definition and examine the differences between clustering and pattern detection (if any), before we investigate how to utilize clustering algorithms...

Today, information networks play an important role in supply chain management. Therefore, in this article, clustering-based routing protocols, which are one of the most important ways to reduce energy consumption in wireless sensor networks, are used to optimize the supply chain informational cloud network. Accordingly, first, a clustering protocol is presented using self-organizing map neu...
