In this paper, we study the dilation limit of solutions to the Ricci flow on manifolds with nonnegative curvature operator. We first show that such a dilation limit must be a product of a compact ancient Type I solution of the Ricci flow with flat factors. Then we show under the Type I normalized Ricci flow, the compact factor has a subsequence converge to a Ricci soliton.

Superfluid 3 He-A has domain-wall like structures, which are called solitons. We calculate numerically the structure of a splay soliton and study its effect on the NMR spectrum by calculating the frequency and the amplitude of the soliton peaks. We compare the results with experiments and discuss their implications on the basic parameters of 3 He.

The two body non-leptonic Λb decays are analyzed in the HQET with factorization approximation and large Nc limit. In this limit, Λb and Λc baryons can be treated as the bound states of chiral soliton and heavy meson, and consequently the Isgur-Wise function comes out in a straight forward manner.
