サルコイドーシスの皮膚症状は，病理組織学的に非乾酪壊死性の類上皮細胞肉芽腫（サルコイド肉芽腫）が認められる特異疹と，それ以外の非特異疹とに分かれる．これまで本邦における皮膚病変の分類では，特異疹，非特異疹とは別に瘢痕浸潤が記載されてきた．これに対し海外の分類では，瘢痕浸潤という考え方を独立させずに，サルコイドーシス患者の陳旧性瘢痕が隆起してきたものはscar sarcoidosisとして特異疹に含めている．本稿では，本邦におけるこれまでの考え方を振り返り，瘢痕浸潤はscar sarcoidosisと同一と考えてよいこと，また瘢痕浸潤は特異疹と別扱いせず特異疹の1つのタイプに含めるという考え方を示し，新たな皮膚症状の分類を提唱した．
