The soliton dressing matrices for the higher-order zeros of the RiemannHilbert problem for theN -wave system are considered. For the elementary higher-order zero, i.e. whose algebraic multiplicity is arbitrary but the geometric multiplicity is 1, the general soliton dressing matrix is derived. The theory is applied to the study of higher-order soliton solutions in the three-wave interaction mod...

In this paper, the improved  -expansion method is proposed to solve the Kundu–Eckhaus equation and Gerdjikov–Ivanov model. The applied method are analytical methods to obtaining the exact solutions of nonlinear equations. Here, the aforementioned methods are used for constructing the soliton, periodic, rational, singular and solitary wave solutions for solving some equations. We obtained furthe...

This paper obtains the solitary wave, shock wave as well as singular soliton solutions to the generalized OstrovskyBenjamin-Bona-Mahoney (gO-BBM) equation. The ansatz method is applied to obtain the solutions. Several constraint conditions for the parameters are derived that establish the existence of the soliton solutions.

Abstract: In this paper, through a new transformation, the combined KdvBurgers equation with variable coefficients(vcKdvB) is reduced to a new simplified equation.Based on the homogeneous balance principle(HBP),we studied the Backlund transformation(BT) and several exact soliton-like solutions to this vcKdvB equation. Including single kink-like solitary wave solutions, double-soliton-like solut...

We comment on traveling wave solutions and rational solutions to the 3+1 dimensional Kadomtsev–Petviashvili (KP) equations: (ut + 6uux + uxxx)x ± 3uyy ± 3uzz = 0. We also show that both of the 3+1 dimensional KP equations do not possess the three-soliton solution. This suggests that none of the 3+1 dimensional KP equations should be integrable, and partially explains why they do not pass the Pa...

In this paper, we investigate analytically and numerically the modulational instability in a model of nonlinear physical systems like nonlinear periodic lattices. This model is described by the discrete complex cubic quintic Ginzburg-Landau equation with non-local quintic term. We produce characteristics of the modulational instability in the form of typical dependences of the instability growt...

An application of the Darboux transformation on a cnoidal wave background in the coupled nonlinear Schrödinger equation gives a new solution which describes a soliton moving on a cnoidal wave. This is a generalized version of the previously known soliton solutions of dark-bright pair. Here a dark soliton resides on a cnoidal wave instead of on a constant background. It also exhibits a new types...

In this paper, the direct Ansäz method is used for constructing the multi-wave solutions to the (2+1)-dimensional extension of the Korteweg de-Vries (shortly EKdV) equation. A new breather type of three-wave solutions including periodic breather type soliton solution, breather type of two-solitary solution are obtained. Some cases with specific values of the involved parameters are plotted for ...

We derive the soliton matrices corresponding to an arbitrary number of higherorder normal zeros for the matrix Riemann–Hilbert problem of arbitrary matrix dimension, thus giving the complete solution to the problem of higher-order solitons. Our soliton matrices explicitly give all higher-order multisoliton solutions to the nonlinear partial differential equations integrable through the matrix R...

and hosti .2013.08.0 Abstract In this paper, the topological soliton solutions of nonlinear evolution equations are obtained by the solitary wave ansatz method. Under some parameter conditions, exact solitary wave solutions are obtained. Note that it is always useful and desirable to construct exact solutions especially soliton-type (dark, bright, kink, anti-kink, etc.) envelope for the underst...
