Transparent conducting oxides (TCO’s) have widespread uses as electrodes in solar cells and liquid crystal displays and as heat-reflecting window coatings. The commercial TCO of choice is ITO (tin-doped indium oxide). ITO has a typical conductivity of 1!5]103 S/cm and a transparency 85—90% in thin films (1). In addition to ITO, which has been reviewed (2), a number of promising TCO’s consisting...
The Sn(IV) atom in the title salt, [N(CH(3))(3)(C(6)H(5))](2)[SnBr(4)(C(6)H(4)Cl)(2)], exists in a distorted all-trans SnC(2)Br(4) octa-hedral geometry. The Sn(IV) atom lies on a center of inversion. Weak inter-molecular C-H⋯Br hydrogen bonding is observed between trimethyl-phenyl-ammonium cations and the Sn complex anion in the crystal structure.
The valence band (VB) electronic structure and VB alignments at heterointerfaces of strained epitaxial stannate ASnO3 (A=Ca, Sr, and Ba) thin films are characterized using in situ X-ray and ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopies, with band gaps evaluated using spectroscopic ellipsometry. Scanning transmission electron microscopy with geometric phase analysis is used to resolve strain at atomi...
The process of thermolysis double strontium-tin(IV) hydroxide obtained by precipitation from hydrochloric acid solutions adding ammonia to pH=10 and the phase composition its degradation products were studied differential thermal analysis, X-ray analysis scanning electron microscopy. It was shown that main stages dehydration are completed at about 350°C as a result an amorphous product is forme...
BaCo(2)Sn(4)O(11) is isotypic with R-ferrite, BaTi(2)Fe(4)O(11). The Co atoms fully occupy trigonal-bipyramidal sites () and are disordered with Sn atoms in octa-hedral sites (.2/m symmetry), as represented in the formula BaCoSn(2)(Co(0.34)Sn(0.66))(4)O(11). Ba atoms are situated in a 12-fold coordinated site ( symmetry).
The title salt, [(CH(3))(2)NH(2)][Sn(C(6)H(5))(3)Cl(2)], was obtained as a by-product of the reaction between bis-(dimethyl-ammonium) oxalate and triphenyl-tin chloride. In the stannate anion, the trigonal-bipyramidal coordination environment of the Sn(IV) atom is defined by the phenyl groups in equatorial and the Cl atoms in axial positions. The cations are connected to adjacent anions through...
The crystal structure of the title compound, (C6H14N)3[Sn(C2O4)2Cl2]Cl·H2O, contains three cyclo-hexyl-ammonium cations, one stannate(IV) dianion, one isolated chloride anion and one lattice water mol-ecule. The cyclo-hexyl-ammonium cations adopt chair conformations. In the complex anion, two bidentate oxalate ligands and two chloride anions in cis positions coordinate octa-hedrally to the cent...
