Oral verruciform xanthoma represents an uncommon entity, which affects mainly oral mucosa. This paper presents the major clinical and histological features of oral verruciform xanthoma and reports a case on the tongue. The differential diagnosis and a literature review are also provided in light of recent information.

We review the general clinical and histological characteristics of Verruciform Xanthoma and report a case, presented in a female, 36 years-old, on the floor of mouth, an uncommon localization for this lesion. The Verruciform Xanthoma could be a reactional lesion to candida or another bacteria of oral mucosa, that need a surgical treatment.

Xanthoma disseminatum (XD) is a rare benign mucocutaneous xanthomatosis that is classified as a benign non-Langerhans cell histiocytosis. We report a 62-year-old man who presented with widespread yellow-brown papulonodular and tumoral lesions on face, flexors, and trunk.
