Pulmonary actinomycosis is a rare pulmonary infection that often exhibits unspecific symptoms and radiological findings. We herein report a case of pulmonary actinomycosis that mimicked pulmonary aspergilloma in an immunocompetent patient.

The diagnosis and treatment of abdominal actinomycosis is difficult. We report a case of chronic diverticulitis of the sigmoid colon with stricture formation and obstruction, which was complicated by intramural actinomycosis. We suggest that diverticular strictures and actinomycosis may coexist more often than the literature suggests.
