A pilot case study examining the effects of inhibitive ankle-foot orthoses on functional motor performance in a child with spastic diplegia is presented. Both qualitative and quantitative changes occurred, lending support to the efficacy of inhibitive orthoses in improving motor performance in children with cerebral palsy.

این مطالعه بر روی 3 پسر فلج مغزی با میانگین سنی 5/6 سال انجام شد .بر اساس شاخص های آمار توصیفی و تحلیل دیداری نمودار داده ها ، مداخله ی مورد نظر برای هر سه شرکت کننده در قدرت و تعادل ، اثربخش بوده است و میزان قدرت و تعادل افراد بعد از پایان مداخله نسبت به مرحله ی پایه بهبود داشته است . نتیجه گیری : انجام تمرینات مقاومتی و تعادلی می تواند باعث افزایش قدرت و تعادل کودکان مبتلا به فلج مغزی شود .
