از جنس pluchea دو گونه به نامهای p. lanceolata و p. arguta از ایران شناسایی و معرفی شده بود. با مطالعه نمونه های این جنس در هرباریوم موسسه تحقیقات جنگلها و مراتع و جمع آوری این نمونه از رویشگاه طبیعی در هورالعظیم (بستان) استان خوزستان، نتیجه گیری شد که گونه p. dioscoridis اشتباهاً p. lanceolata شناسایی شده بود. بنابراین گونه p. dioscoridis در واقع برای اولین بار از ایران گزارش می شود.
