it is estimated that one third of the world's population is latently infected with tuberculosis (tb). the hiv epidemic fuels the tb epidemic by increasing the risk of reactivation of latent tb infection and by facilitating a more rapid progression of tb disease. although the incidence of tb is constant or decreasing in many regions of the world, rates remain high in developing countries as a co...

In this paper, we consider a stochastic SIRS epidemic model with nonlinear incidence and Markovian switching. By using the calculus background, establish that threshold ℜ swt can be used to determine compartment dynamics of system. Some examples numerical simulations are presented confirm theoretical results established in paper.

People of India are very susceptible to many infectious diseases like malaria, TB, HIV etc. There are many epidemic models that are used to predict new cases of disease. Some of the popular epidemic models are SI (Susceptible-Infectious), SIR (Susceptible-Infectious-Recovered), SIRS, SIS etc. In this research quarterly data of TB disease in Uttarakhand (India) for 7 years is collected and on th...

The classic SIR (susceptible-infectious-recovered) model, has been used extensively to study the dynamical evolution of an infectious disease in a large population. The SIR-susceptible (SIRS) model is an extension of the SIR model to allow modeling imperfect immunity (those who have recovered might become susceptible again). SIR(S) models assume observed counts are “mass balanced.” Here, mass b...
