The aim of this paper is to introduce the notion of  -chainable intuitionistic fuzzy metric spaces and prove a common fixed point theorem for four weakly compatible mappings in this newly defined space. Our result is intuitionistic fuzzy version of Cho and Jung's [1] and Mukherjee's [9] results in  -chainable fuzzy metric space.

Because of its technical difficulties the existence of analytic solutions to the iterative differential equation x′(z) = x(az + bx(z) + cx′(z)) is a source of open problems. In this article we obtain analytic solutions, using Schauder’s fixed point theorem. Also we present a unique solution which is a nonconstant polynomial in the complex field.

A new conservative finite difference scheme is presented for an initial-boundary value problem of the general Rosenau-RLW equation. Existence of its difference solutions are proved by Brouwer fixed point theorem. It is proved by the discrete energy method that the scheme is uniquely solvable, unconditionally stable, and second-order convergent. Numerical examples show the efficiency of the scheme.

The purpose of this paper is to introduce a new class of quasi-contractive operators and to show that the most used fixed point iterative methods, that is, the Picard and Mann iterations, are convergent to the unique fixed point. The comparison of these methods with respect to their convergence rate is obtained.

in this paper, we prove some approximate fixed point results for proximinal valued $beta$-contractive multifunctions on metric spaces. we show that our results generalize some old fixed point results in the literature.
