In this paper we develop a reinforcement fuzzy learning scheme for robots playing a differential game. Differential games are games played in continuous time, with continuous states and actions. Fuzzy controllers are used to approximate the calculation of future reinforcements of the game due to actions taken at a specific time. If an immediate reinforcement reward function is defined, we may u...

Nešeťril and Sopena introduced a concept of oriented game chromatic number and developed a general technique for bounding this parameter. In this paper, we combine their technique with concepts introduced by several authors in a series of papers on game chromatic number to show that for every positive integer k, there exists an integer t so that if C is a topologically closed class of graphs an...

This paper introduces a novel path planning technique called MCRT which is aimed at non-deterministic, partially known, real-time domains populated with dynamically moving obstacles, such as might be found in a real-time strategy (RTS) game. The technique combines an efficient form of Monte-Carlo tree search with the randomized exploration capabilities of rapidly exploring random tree (RRT) pla...

This paper presents a new model reduction technique that exploits large-scale, parallel precomputation to create interactive, real-time games with the visual fidelity of offline rendered films. We present an algorithm to automatically discretize a continuous game into a large finite-state machine that can be pre-rendered in the film world. Despite radical differences from existing game engines,...

The problem of mapping tasks onto a computational grid with the aim to minimize the power consumption and the makespan subject to the constraints of deadlines and architectural requirements is considered in this paper. To solve this problem, we propose a solution from cooperative game theory based on the concept of Nash Bargaining Solution. The proposed game theoretical technique is compared ag...

Many of the search techniques used in AI were developed, studied and/or optimized in the context of game playing. Game playing demands efficient methods and has the advantage that the testing and evaluation of different implementations is straightforward, for it requires playing the game. This paper provides a case study of an informed search technique applied for a non-adversarial game (triang...

the present study sought to investigate the impact of using mind-mapping technique instruction on female elementary efl learners reading comprehension; it also investigated their attitudes towards using mind-mapping technique as a tool to improve their reading comprehension. this study followed a quasi-experimental design with two intact groups as experimental, and control groups. the participa...

This paper presents the application of UX Heatmap, a technique to visually represent implicit measures in conjunction with video game stimuli. It provides both temporal and spatial representation of a player’s unfiltered cognitive and emotional reactions. We used a recent game research to illustrate the potential of this approach in game user research.
