INTRODUCTION Nasopharyngeal carcinoma is a condition which usually has an insidious onset and non-specific features in the initial stages, so it is difficult to make an early diagnosis. The most usual presenting features are otological (serous otitis media) and involvement of adjacent cranial nerves. We report a case of Gradeningo's syndrome due to the tumour spreading towards the base of the s...
A 58-year-old woman developed Gradenigo's syndrome. The clinical signs and symptoms of the otitis were rather atypical and there was a considerable delay before the correct diagnosis was made. The pathophysiology, therapy and differential diagnosis of this syndrome, which has become rare since the introduction of antibiotics, are discussed.
Service robots have to robustly follow and interact with humans. In this paper, we propose a very fast multi-people tracking algorithm designed to be applied on mobile service robots. Our approach exploits RGB-D data and can run in real-time at very high frame rate on a standard laptop without the need for a GPU implementation. It also features a novel depthbased sub-clustering method which all...

In this paper, we establish the well-posedness of the generalized moment problems recently studied by Byrnes-Georgiou-Lindquist and coworkers, and by Ferrante-Pavon-Ramponi. We then apply these continuity results to prove almost sure convergence of a sequence of high-resolution spectral estimators indexed by the sample size. ∗Partially supported by the Ministry of Education, University, and Res...

Abstract This work proposes a way to analyze and quantify noise in SC networks. The proposed approach is simplified with respect to other results presented in the literature, in order to allow circuit designer to p...
