The feasibility of processing low-grade copper-nickel ores by heap bioleaching was investigated. It found that an iron-oxidizing strain acidophilic microorganisms, Acidithiobacillus ferrivorans, is effective in the leaching sulfide from deposits Russia’s Murmansk region. Sulfide mineralization studied mineral feeds described using methods X-ray phase analysis and optical microscopy. In process ...

Cause Cyanide poisoning of birds is caused by exposure to cyanide in two forms: inorganic salts and hydrogen cyanide gas (HCN). Two sources of cyanide have been associated with bird mortalities: gold and silver mines that use cyanide in the extraction process and a predator control device called the M-44 sodium cyanide ejector, which uses cyanide as the toxic agent. Most of the cyanide mortalit...

Heap leaching is a firm extractive metallurgical technology facilitating the economical processing of different kinds low-grade ores that are otherwise not exploited. Nevertheless, regardless much development since it was first used, process advantages restricted by low recoveries and long extraction times. It becoming progressively clear selection heap as an appropriate to specific mineral res...

The heap is a very fundamental data structure used in many application programs as well as in system software. In this paper, we propose a heap traversal algorithm which visits the nodes of a binary heap in ascending order of the key values stored in the nodes. We demonstrate two implementations of the heap traversal algorithm, using a binary search tree or a binary heap as the auxiliary struct...

We present an eficient implementation of the parallel heap data structure on a bus-based Silicon Graphics multiprocessor GTX/dD. Parallel heap is theoretically the first heap-based data structure to have implemented an optimally scalable parallel priority queue on an exclusive-read exclusive-write parallel random access machine. We compared it with Rao-and-Kumar’s concurrent heap and with the c...

In this paper some classes of ternary algebraic structures (semi-heaps, heaps) are considered. The connection between heaps (laterally commutative heaps) and corresponding algebraic and geometric structures is presented. The equivalence of heap existence and the Desargues system on the same set is directly proved. It is the starting point for an analogous result about a laterally commutative he...

This paper reviews current remediation technologies that use chelating agents for the mobilization and removal of potentially toxic metals from contaminated soils. These processes can be done in situ as enhanced phytoextraction, chelant enhanced electrokinetic extraction and soil flushing, or ex situ as the extraction of soil slurry and soil heap/column leaching. Current proposals on how to tre...

In this paper we present a new data structure for double ended priority queue, called min-max fine heap, which combines the techniques used in fine heap and traditional min-max heap. The standard operations on this proposed structure are also presented, and their analysis indicates that the new structure outperforms the traditional one.
