In this paper we study some monotone behavior of the residual (past) entropy of order . We prove that, under some relation between the hazard rates (reversed hazard rates) of two distributions functions F and G, when the residual (past) entropy of order of F is decreasing (increasing) then the residual (past) entropy of G is decreasing (increasing). Using this, several conclusions regarding mo...
In this paper, the marginal distribution of concomitants k − record values (CKR) based on Huang–Kotz Farlie–Gumbel–Morgenstern (HK-FGM) family bivariate distributions is derived. addition, we obtained joint CKR for family. Also, hazard rate, reversed and residual life functions using HK-FGM The weighted extropy ...
It is essential to understand the consumption pattern of food and how it changes over time to formulate sound economic policies as well as marketing and pricing strategies. In this study, we estimate the Quadratic Almost Ideal Demand System with six rounds of the Family Income Expenditure Survey exploiting the conditional linearity of the demand system. We find that the Filipino diet has become...
Non-additive entropy measures are important for many applications. We study Havrda and Charvat entropy for record values and have shown that this characterizes the underlying distribution function uniquely. Also the non-additive entropy of record values has been derived in case of some specific distributions. Further we propose a generalized residual entropy measure for record value.
The goal of this thesis is to examine methods of statistical inference based on upper record values. This includes estimation of parameters based on samples of record values and prediction of future record values. We first define and discuss record times and record values and their distributions. Then we propose an efficient algorithm to generate random samples of record values. The algorithm, ...
This chapter analyses the effects of introducing ICT as a support for the social record in elderly care. The effects of the electronic social record are assessed by analysing the different values the electronic social record supports. These values are discussed in terms of ‘value areas’ (values related to administration, integration, professional, and care) which is a categorization of anticipa...
