This paper presents a methodology to transform a pure functional speciication into a distributed message-passing program via equa-tional reasoning. The methodology uses a formal model of a message passing system. This abstract system can be implemented using PVM or MPI, and thus executable programs produced.

Bose-Chaudhuri-Hocquenghem and Justesen codes are used to pack equa spheres in M-dimensional Euclidean space with density A satisfying log2 A > — 6n + o(ri), for all sufficiently large n of the form m2, where m is a power of 4. These appear to be the densest packings yet constructed in high dimensional space.

Scaling similarity solutions of three integrable PDEs, namely the Sawada-Kotera, fifth order KdV and Kaup-Kupershmidt equations, are considered. It is shown that the resulting ODEs may be written as non-autonomous Hamiltonian equations, which are time-dependent generalizations of the well-known integrable Hénon-Heiles systems. The (time-dependent) Hamiltonians are given by logarithmic derivativ...

In this paper, the research object is $$(2+1)$$ -dimensional Korteweg–de Vries–Sawada–Kotera–Ramani (KdVSKR) equation. After adding new constraint, solutions which contain y-type molecules are obtained. The process of lump and before after collision studied by long-wave limit method, kinetic behavior analysis given. interactions between resonant soliton molecules, breather obtained combining ve...

1987 ABSTRACT In 1975 I started a small project to explore the consequences of implementing equational programs with no semantic compromises. Latest results include a compiler that executes exactly the logical consequences of an equa-tional program, with run-time speed comparable to compiled Franz LISP. This paper describes the accomplishments of the project very brieey, concentrating on shortc...

Many process algebras are deened by structural operational semantics (SOS). Indeed , most such deenitions are nicely structured and t the GSOS format of 15]. We give a procedure for converting any GSOS language deenition to a nite complete equa-tional axiom system (possibly with one innnitary induction principle) which precisely characterizes strong bisimulation of processes.

A persistence theorem for xed points of a parameterized family of maps is specialized to give a method for detecting the existence of persistent periodic solutions of perturbed systems of di erential equa tions in particular systems of weakly coupled planar oscillators An application is make to the problem of synchronization of two detuned and weakly inductively coupled van der Pol oscillators

In this paper, an application of homotopy perturbation method is appliedto nding the solutions of the seven-order Sawada-Kotera (sSK) and a Lax'sseven-order KdV (LsKdV) equations. Then obtain the exact solitary-wave so-lutions and numerical solutions of the sSK and LsKdV equations for the initialconditions. The numerical solutions are compared with the known analyticalsolutions. Their remarkabl...

Abstract. In this paper, we implement numerical solution of differential equations of frac- tional order based on hybrid functions consisting of block-pulse function and rationalized Haar functions. For this purpose, the properties of hybrid of rationalized Haar functions are presented. In addition, the operational matrix of the fractional integration is obtained and is utilized to convert compu...
