The so-called ’change-of-ring’ results are well-known expressions which present several connections between projective, injective and flat dimensions over the various base rings. In this note we extend these results to the Gorenstein dimensions over Cohen-Macaulay local rings.

We prove that sequentially Cohen-Macaulay rings in positive characteristic, as well as sequentially Cohen-Macaulay Stanley-Reisner rings in any characteristic, have trivial Lyubeznik table. Some other configurations of Lyubeznik tables are also provided depending on the deficiency modules of the ring.

In this paper we solve a problem, originally raised by Grothendieck, on the transfer of Cohen-Macaulayness to tensor products of algebras over a field k.
