Pseudoaneurysm of a cystic artery is a rare entity that commonly occurs secondary to biliary procedures. Most of the cases in literature are consisted of ruptured aneurysms and to our knowledge, except our case, there were only 3 cases with unruptured aneurysms, which incidentally were detected by radiological methods. When cystic artery pseudoaneurysm is present with acute cholecystitis, most ...

Visceral pseudoaneurysm is an uncommon but serious complication of acute or chronic pancreatitis. It affects the splenic artery in 40% of cases [1]. Traditional treatment includes surgical excision or ligation and endovascular techniques [2, 3]. This article describes the first reported case of a large splenic artery pseudoaneurysm that was managed by endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)-guided thrombin...

INTRODUCTION We report the first case of the successful detection of postpartum unruptured vaginal pseudoaneurysm using power- and pulsed-Doppler ultrasonography after delivery. CASE DESCRIPTION A 38-year-old primiparous Japanese woman had a vaginal laceration with pulsatile bleeding after delivering by vacuum extraction. Transvaginal ultrasonography of the repaired vaginal wall showed an 18 ...

A 61-year-old man with acute myocardial infarction developed a painful hematoma in his groin after percutaneous coronary intervention. Ultrasonography, including color Doppler, detected a pulsatile, hypoechogenic, single compartment lesion (2.3 3.0 2.9 cm) consistent with a partially thrombosed pseudoaneurysm originating from the distal part of the common femoral artery (Figure, A). Sampling fr...

A rare case of a snuffbox radial artery pseudoaneurysm treated surgically is presented. Given the broad base, short neck and relatively large size of the pseudoaneurysm sac, compression techniques and intra-sac thrombin injection were deemed inappropriate, as they have been associated with ischemic complications within the sparse literature. Open surgical resection of the pseudoaneurysm with pr...

the number of patients with end-stage renal disease has steadily increased and improvements in hemodialysis techniques have lead to extended life expectancy. pseudoaneurysm is a relatively rare complication of autogenous vascular access. we have reported a case in which an anastomotic pseudoaneurysm developed in a patient on hemodialysis treatment.

OBJECTIVE To determine the prevalence of pseudoaneurysm formation after aortic (left ventricular outflow tract) homograft implantation and to evaluate predisposing factors. METHODS Echocardiographic data were analysed in 30 patients for evidence of pseudoaneurysm formation after homograft implantation. Pseudoaneurysm was characterised as a perfused echo-free space between the homograft and th...

BACKGROUNDExtensor Hallicus Longus (EHL) tendon lacerations with Dorsalis Pedis (DP) artery injuries are uncommon when present together. Insufficient literature exists regarding surgical management of these injuries. We a case delayed presentation 29-year-old male who sustained Zone 4 EHL laceration to the dorsal midfoot concomitant DP pseudoaneurysm. Magnetic resonance imaging showed 5.5cm dia...

Traumatic pseudoaneurysm of the superficial temporal artery (STA) is an uncommon lesion and resection of the lesion is the treatment of choice. Three patients with traumatic pseudoaneurysm of the STA treated with only manual compression of the lesions were examined for this study. We report on an effective and safe minimally invasive technique for treatment of traumatic pseudoaneurysm of the STA.

tumours of growth plate origin. Although vascular complications of these are rare, the most commonly reported is a popliteal artery pseudoaneurysm. Most pseudoaneurysms have been related to femoral osteochondromas, with only 3 previous reports of a popliteal pseudoaneurysm secondary to a tibial exostosis. We report a case of a popliteal pseudoaneurysm secondary to a tibial osteochondroma and di...
