In this paper, the application of the radar backscatter frequency correlation for classification and inversion of physical parameters of terrestrial targets is investigated. Traditionally, in radar remote sensing, the backscattering coefficients and the backscatter phase difference statistics of a distributed target are considered for estimating the biophysical parameters of interest. Because o...

This paper presents an overview of recent progress of radar for the image detection and characterization of targets. MIMO radar can improve on conventional target detection, parameter identification, and target classification performance via diversity of, among other things, its simultaneously transmitted waveforms. However, the mutual interference among the waveforms may lead to considerable p...

An image texture analysis and target recognition approach of using an improved image texture feature coding method (TFCM) and Support Vector Machine (SVM) for target detection is presented. With our proposed target detection framework, targets of interest can be detected accurately. Cascade-Sliding-Window technique was also developed for automated target localization. Application to mammogram s...

This study focuses on the reentry target classification and fuses features based generalized evidence theory. The are extensively investigated, ballistic factor length of high-resolution range profile selected. theory is advantageous for solving feature fusion, representing uncertainty, widely used in defense applications. However, determining basic probability assignment (GBPA) dealing with un...

Purpose This paper aims to discuss the classification of targets based on their radar cross-section (RCS). The wavelength, dimensions and distance from antenna are in order 1 mm, m 10 m, respectively. Design/methodology/approach near-field RCS is considered, physical optics approximation used for its numerical calculation. To model real scenarios, authors assume that incident angle a random var...

This paper investigates independence of classifiers in neural networks for high range resolution radar target recognition. Independent classifiers are used to select distinguishing features for synthesis of ontogenic neural networks (networks that generate their own topology during training). A class of nonorthogonal classifiers is defined and their classification properties are investigated. R...

We track multiple human subjects using ultra-wide band (UWB) radar based on their target signatures. To resolve the correspondence problem, the use of CLEAN algorithm is proposed. Walking two human subjects are measured by UWB radar. The feasibility of classification is investigated using the suggested method.
