By using the technique of factoring weakly compact operators through reflexive Banach spaces we prove that a class of ordinary differential equations with Lipschitz continuous perturbations has a strong solution when the problem is governed by a closed linear operator generating a strongly continuous semigroup of compact operators.

In this paper, we consider the following viscosity approximation sequence x n λ n fx n 1−λ n T n x n , where λ n ∈ 0, 1, {T n } is a uniformly asymptotically regular sequence, and f is a weakly contractive mapping. Strong convergence of the sequence {x n } is proved.

In this paper, we prove an existence theorem for the pseudo-nonlocal Cauchy problem x′(t) + Ax(t) = f(t, x(t), ∫ t t0 k(t, s, x(s))ds), x0(t0) = x0−g(x), where A is the infinitesimal generator of a C0 semigroup of operator {T (t)}t>0 on a Banach space. The functions f, g are weakly-weakly sequentially continuous and the integral is taken in the sense of Pettis.
