This paper presents the robust stability of Takagi-Sugeno(T-S) fuzzy systems with sampled-data. By constructing an augmented modified Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, which includes three triple integrals, some less conservative results are obtained compared with the existing results. Numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the improvement of the proposed method.

⎯ In our paper, the properties of the simplest Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy controller are first investigated. Next, based on the well-known Popov criterion with graphical interpretation, a sufficient condition in the frequency domain is proposed to guarantee the globally asymptotical stability of the simplest T-S fuzzy control system. Since this sufficient condition is presented in the frequency ...

The relevance of bifurcation analysis in Takagi–Sugeno (T–S) fuzzy systems is emphasized mainly through examples. It is demonstrated that even the most simple cases can show a great variety of behaviors. To understand the richness of asymptotic dynamics, one can find in T–S systems, a methodology is proposed by invoking bifurcation theory. Several local and global bifurcations (some of them, de...

This paper presents an indirect adaptive fuzzy control scheme for a class of single-input-single-output (SISO) nonlinear systems. A Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model is employed as a dynamical model of the partially known nonlinear system. Both the structure and the parameters of the T-S model are identified on-line. A T-S model based feedback linearization controller (FLC) is designed and a Lyap...

In this study, a novel fault detection scheme is developed for a class of nonlinear system in the presence of sensor noise. A nonlinear Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model is implemented to create multiple models. While the T-S fuzzy model is used for only the nonlinear distribution matrix of the fault and measurement signals, a larger category of nonlinear systems is considered. Next, a mapping to decou...

Fuzzy systems can provide us with universal approximation models of deterministic input–output relationships, but in the stochastic environment few achievements related to the subject have so far achieved. In the paper a novel stochastic Takagi–Sugeno (T–S) fuzzy system is introduced to represent approximately existing randomness in many real-world systems. By recapitulating the general archite...

Controller design strategy for Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy systems is considered in the two-degree-of-freedom (TDOF) framework. Firstly, coprime factorization described in the state space formulas for T-S fuzzy systems is introduced based on a common Lyapunov function. Secondly, based on this coprime factorization, TDOF framework for LTI systems is extended to be applied to T-S fuzzy systems. Con...

This contribution presents an approach to achieve trajectory tracking for nonlinear systems. Combining linear regulator theory with the Takagi–Sugeno (T–S) fuzzy methodology; an algorithm is described for this tracking. The main contribution of the paper consists in the real-time application of this algorithm to a specific underactuated robot: the Pendubot.

The paper presents the problem of decentralized state feedback control for nonlinear interconnected systems with time-varying delay in both states and inputs which is composed by a number of Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy bilinear subsystems with interconnections. Based on the Lyapunov criterion and the parallel distribute compensation scheme, the delay-dependent stabilization sufficient conditions ...

Abstract -In this paper, the problem of H∞ filtering design is studied for nonlinear sampled-data systems using the Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model approach. Traditionally, the sufficient conditions for the existence of such H∞ filter are characterized in terms of the solution of a differential Hamilton-Jacobi inequality with jumps, which is equivalent to solving the partial differential inequa...
