We address soliton spiraling in optical lattices induced by multiple coherent Bessel beams and show that the dynamic nature of such lattices makes it possible for them to drag different soliton structures, setting them into rotation. We can control the rotation rate by varying the topological charges of lattice-inducing Bessel beams.

In this paper I propose an scenario for the top quark as a topological color soliton. I illustrate some features of the top quark as a soliton in a toy model based on nonlinear realization of the SUL(3) × SUR(3)/SUL+R(3) with SUL+R(3) being the color gauge group.

We examine the possibility that gauge field configurations on stacks of parallel Dp-branes support topological solitons. We give an exhaustive list of possible soliton charges for p ≤ 6. We also discuss how configurations carrying the soliton charges can be constructed from intersecting branes.

The dynamical model on 3+1 dimensional space-time admitting soliton solutions is discussed. The proposal soliton is localized in the vicinity of a closed contour, which could be linked and/or knotted. The topological charge is Hopf invariant.
