We demonstrate compact optical wavelength conversion architecture for picosecond laser pulses and data streams within photonic band gap waveguides. These multimode waveguides are seeded with resonantly driven, inhomogeneously broadened, distributions of quantum dots whose optical transition center frequency is placed near a sharp discontinuity in the local electromagnetic density of states LDOS...

A novel, periodic, leaky-wave array antenna using substrate-integrated waveguide (SIW) technology is proposed for continuous beam scanning applications. For this purpose, a periodic structure with the ability to radiate from backward forward proposed. The unit cell of includes longitudinal slot and an H-plane discontinuity. step discontinuity suggested suppress open stopband (OSB) enable throug...

This paper introduces ‘treatable’ theories, a large class of first-order theories each having a unique countable recursively saturated model.Important examples of such theories are DIS and DLO. It turns out that resplendency or parameter-free resplendency for such theories is implied by a Σ1(Π1 ThN)-statement. Other results concerning resplendency and Σ1definability are obtained.

in order to implement an integrated optical quantum circuit, designing waveguides based on the quantum box is of prime importance. to do this we have investigated optical waveguide both with and without optical pumping. the rate of absorption and emission using an array of algaas/gaas quantum box core/shell structure in the optical waveguide with various pumping intensities has computed. by con...

Distributive lattices with operators (DLO) are a natural generalization of the notion of Boolean algebras with operators. An operator in a bounded distributive lattice A is a function f : An → A which preserves ∧ (or ∨) in each coordinate. In the last few years these classes of algebras have been actively investigated since they appear as algebraic counterpart of many logics. Some important con...

While handling deformable linear objects (DLOs), such as hoses, wires or leaf springs, with an industrial robot at high speed, unintended and undesired oscillations that delay further operations may occur. This paper analyzes oscillations based on a simple model with one degree of freedom (DOF) and presents a method for active open-loop damping. Different ways to interpret an oscillating DLO as...

In the present work the radiation of sound from a bifurcated circular waveguide formed by a semi-infinite rigid duct inserted axially into a larger infinite tube with discontinuous wall impedance is reconsidered through an alternative approach which consists of using the mode matching technique in conjunction with the Wiener-Hopf method. By expressing the total field in the appropriate waveguid...
