This article analyses, from an ethnographic example in Portuguese Timor, involving anthropologist and a group of Timorese, the (dis)agreements between anthropologist's written memories oral ones, collected together with countrymen original interlocutors. The dissonance these expresses different perspectives same event intentions valuation given to what is expressed omitted by interveners.
