The serological diagnosis of melioidosis is carried out using the indirect hemagglutination assay. We looked at the reactivity of sera from culture-proven cases of melioidosis from north Queensland against antigens derived from Burkholderia pseudomallei, B. thailandensis, and B. cepacia.
