Chaos theory is the study of dynamic systems in which small differences in the environment, can create large, unpredictable results. The classic example of chaos theory is the Butterfly effect, or the theory that a Butterfly flapping can effect large scale weather patterns such as tornadoes and hurricanes even from hundreds of miles away. Chaos Theory is also applicable in systems other than we...

The Need to Utilize Chaos Management Techniques in Elementary School Preparedness Assessment Program   M. H. Hassani Shalmaani, Ph.D.*   One of the most important programs in the Ministry of Education is the health and academic preparedness assessment program. It is assumed that any assessment program is so dynamic and unpredictable that makes systematic planning impossible. Thi...

Recent advancements in complexity of mechanical systems have led to the application of chaos theory. In this paper, some recent developments on chaos in mechanical systems are explored. The aim is to bring together researchers from various interests of mechanical systems, exposing them to chaos theory. This exposure gives researchers from the discipline of mechanical systems to find opportunity...

Synchronisation of chaotic systems is an important research problem in chaos theory. In this research work, a novel sliding mode control method is proposed for the global chaos synchronisation of identical chaotic systems. The general result derived using novel sliding mode control method is established using Lyapunov stability theory. As an application of the general result, the problem of glo...

The Lyapunov exponent characterizes an exponential growth rate of the difference of nearby orbits. A positive Lyapunov exponent (exponential dynamical instability) is a manifestation of chaos. Here, we propose the Lyapunov pair, which is based on the generalized Lyapunov exponent, as a unified characterization of nonexponential and exponential dynamical instabilities in one-dimensional maps. Ch...

This report presents first steps at applying chaos theory to the solar activity cycle. We provide brief reviews of the history of sunspot records, the mathematical framework of chaos theory, and solar dynamo theory. Finally, we present results of nonlinear analysis of solar motion and propose that further research focus on characterizing local Lyapunov exponents of solar dynamics.

neural network is one of the most widely used algorithms in the field of machine learning, on the other hand, neural network training is a complicated and important process. supervised learning needs to be organized to reach the goal as soon as possible. a supervised learning algorithm analyzes the training data and produces an inferred function, which can be used for mapping new examples.  hen...

A game currently under development at VIS Interactive utilises some of the tenets of chaos theory and non-linear dynamics in its AI modules to take full advantage of the vastly increased processing power available to the programmer of next generation consoles such as Playstation2. This paper concentrates on how apparently complex behaviour of agents can be attained from disarmingly simple dynam...

Chaos criterion for quantum field theory is proposed. Its correspondence with classical chaos criterion in semi-classical regime is shown. It is demonstrated for real scalar field that proposed chaos criterion can be used to investigate stability of classical solutions of field equations. Phenomenon of chaos attracts much attention in various fields of physics. Originally it was associated with...
