Eccrine hidrocystomas are benign tumors of the sweat glands that arise from cystic dilatation of the excretory sweat duct. Exact diagnosis requires biopsy and histopathologic examination, from which arises risk of scarring. Dermoscopy could be a useful tool in diagnosing eccrine hidrocystomas. Herein we aim to present dermoscopic features in three female patients with multiple lesions on the fa...
Eccrine poromas arise from the intraepidermal region of the eccrine sweat duct and most often occur as a benign solitary tumor. There are few reports of the occurrence of multiple lesions, defined as poromatosis, which may present in patients who have undergone radiotherapy and/or polychemotherapy. We report the case of a 43-year-old male with a history of mantle cell lymphoma who had undergone...

Among the unique features of humans, one of the most salient is the ability to effectively cool the body during extreme prolonged activity through the evapotranspiration of water on the skin's surface. The evolution of this novel physiological ability required a dramatic increase in the density and distribution of eccrine sweat glands relative to other mammals and a concomitant reduction of bod...
BACKGROUND Eccrine carcinoma is a quite rare malignant tumor that typically arises from a normal sweat gland and that features a rather high recurrence rate subsequent to simple excision. Given its rather poor response to adjuvant therapy, wide excision of the lesion with tumor-free margins may offer a reasonable chance for long-term control of this neoplasm. CASE PRESENTATION Herein, we repo...
Syringoid eccrine carcinoma is a very rare skin tumor. Herein we describe a 72-year-old male patient presenting with a syringoid eccrine carcinoma of the nipple with associated axillary lymph node metastases. Surgery associated with adjuvant radiotherapy was performed. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case of syringoid eccrine carcinoma of the nipple ever reported.
Dr. José A. Cancelas Pérez, Servicio de Hematología y Hemoterapia, Hospital Ramón y Cajal E-28034 Madrid (Spain) Neutrophilic eccrine hidradenitis is a rare self-limited cutaneous disorder associated with chemotherapy in patients with acute myeloid leukemia. Clinical presentation is variable and histopathologic features characteristically include selective necrosis of the eccrine sweat glands w...
Eccrine hidrocystomas are small benign cystic lesions that normally affect only adult females. Eccrine hidrocystoma is characterized by tense vesicles that are predominately located on the face and particularly on the periorbital areas. Histologically, eccrine hidrocystoma consists of one or more partially collapsed unilocular cysts in the dermis, and these cysts are often situated adjacent to ...
Giant vascular eccrine spiradenomas (GVESs) are a rare variant of the eccrine spiradenoma that develops from the sweat gland. It is different from the eccrine spiradenoma in its larger size and greater degree of vascularity. Bleeding and/or ulceration are common clinical features of this tumor, and are the reason why it is often clinically confused with a vascular or malignant tumor. Here, a ra...
Syringoid eccrine carcinoma is a very rare skin cancer. We present a case of a 22-year-old woman with a presentation of syringoid eccrine carcinoma in the subungual region of the hallux. This clinical case demonstrates our work-up that led to a proper diagnosis and management of this pathology. We discuss our surgical procedure of choice and the outcome. This report adds valuable information to...
