In this paper, we show the integrability of spin-1/2 XXZ Heisenberg chain with two arbitrary spin boundary Impurities. By using the fusion method, we generalize it to the spin-1 XXZ chain. Then the eigenvalues of Hamiltonians of these models are obtained by the means of Bethe ansatz method. Pacs: 75.20H, 12.40E, 75.10D
Title of dissertation: DYNAMICS AND EXCITED STATES OF QUANTUM MANY-BODY SPIN CHAINS WITH TRAPPED IONS Crystal Rosalie Senko, Doctor of Philosophy, 2014 Dissertation directed by: Professor Christopher Monroe Joint Quantum Institute, University of Maryland Department of Physics and National Institute of Standards and Technology Certain classes of quantum many-body systems, including those support...
Fundamental interactions between particles, such as the Coulomb law, involve pairs of particles, and our understanding of the plethora of phenomena in condensed-matter physics rests on models involving effective two-body interactions. On the other hand, exotic quantum phases, such as topological phases or spin liquids, are often identified as ground states of hamiltonians with threeor more-body...
Human experts cannot efficiently access the physical information of quantum many-body states by simply "reading" coefficients, but have to reply on previous knowledge such as order parameters and measurements. In this work, we demonstrate that convolutional neural network (CNN) can learn from coefficients local reduced density matrices estimate Hamiltonians, coupling strengths magnetic fields, ...
Population annealing Monte Carlo is an efficient sequential algorithm for simulating k-local Boolean Hamiltonians. Because of its structure, the algorithm is inherently parallel and therefore well-suited for large-scale simulations of computationally hard problems. Here we present various ways of optimizing population annealing Monte Carlo using 2-local spin-glass Hamiltonians as a case study. ...
In this paper a simple model calculation of spin wave is given for the ferromagtic layer in ultra thin ferromagnetic/antiferromagnetic bilayer. In this model the magnetic layer is assumed as an isolated layer but the effect of antiferromagnetic layer on ferromagnetic layer and unidirectional anisotropy, is given in the effective field applied on each spin. The thin layer is assumed as two-dim...
We study integrable models for electrons in metals when the single particle spectrum is discrete. The electron-electron interactions are BCS-like pairing, Coulomb repulsion, and spin exchange coupling. These couplings are, in general, nonuniform in the sense that they depend on the levels occupied by the interacting electrons. By using the realization of spin 1/2-operators in terms of electrons...
