This work describes the application of pentafluoropyridine (PFP), a cheap commercially available reagent, in deoxyfluorination carboxylic acids to acyl fluorides. The fluorides can be formed from range under mild conditions. We also demonstrate that PFP utilized one-pot amide bond formation via situ generation bond-forming reaction gives ready access amides yields ?94%.
