Continuing our studies of radiative Υ decays, we report on a search for Υ → γη and Υ → γfJ(2220) in 61.3 pb of ee data taken with the CLEO II detector at the Cornell Electron Storage Ring. For the γη search the three decays of the η meson to πππ, πππ, and γγ were investigated. We found no candidate events in the (3π) modes and no significant excess over expected backgrounds in the γγ mode to se...

We present a study of the polarization of the Υ(1S) and Υ(2S) using a sample of 1.3 fb −1 of data collected by the D0 experiment in 20022006 during Run II of the Fermilab Tevatron. The polarization parameter α = (σ T − 2σ T)/(σ T + 2σ T) where σ T and σ L are the transverse and longitudinal polarized components of the cross section is measured as a function of transverse momentum (p T) for the ...

We search for single-photon decays of the Υ(1S) resonance, Υ → γ + invisible, where the invisible state is either a particle of definite mass, such as a light Higgs boson A⁰, or a pair of dark matter particles, χχ. Both A⁰ and χ are assumed to have zero spin. We tag Υ(1S) decays with a dipion transition Υ(2S) → π⁺π⁻Υ(1S) and look for events with a single energetic photon and significant missing...

Heavy quark physics is one of the frontier areas in studies of the fundamental properties of matter. That is why a new generation of ee colliders (B-factories) has been designed. The CLEO-III , BELLE , and BABAR 3 experiments are running since 1999. Their main goal is the precise investigation of the CabibboKobayashi-Maskawa matrix and, first of all, CP-violation in the b-quark sector. To achie...

In this paper we introduce and study a regularising one-to-one mapping Υ0 from the class of one-dimensional Lévy measures into itself. This mapping appeared implicitly in our previous paper [BT2], where we introduced a one-to-one mapping Υ from the class ID(∗) of one-dimensional infinitely divisible probability measures into itself. Based on the studies of Υ0 in the present paper, we also deduc...

Recent CLEO results on the observation of the Υ(1D) state and a search for the η b (1S) state from a data sample of 4.7 × 10 6 Υ(3S) decays collected with the CLEO-III detector, and a measurement of the η ′ production spectrum using 1.9 × 10 6 Υ(1S) decays collected with the CLEO-II detector are described.

This paper presents novel Neural Nanowire Field Effect Transistors (υ-NWFETs) based hardware-implementable neural network (HNN) approach for tactile data processing in electronic skin (e-skin). The viability of Si nanowires (NWs) as the active material for υ-NWFETs in HNN is explored through modeling and demonstrated by fabricating the first device. Using υ-NWFETs to realize HNNs is an interest...
