A revised sample of the 2 cm Very Long Baseline Array (VLBA) survey is studied to test the isotropic distribution of radio sources on the sky and their uniform distribution in space. The revised sample is complete to flux-density limits of 1.5 Jy for positive declinations and 2 Jy for 0 > δ > −20. At present the active galactic nuclei sample comprises 122 members. Application of the two-dimensi...

Abstract This paper investigates spatial data on the unit sphere. Traditionally, isotropic Gaussian random fields are considered as underlying mathematical model of cosmic microwave background (CMB) data. We discuss generalized multifractional Brownian motion and its pointwise Hölder exponent The approach is used to investigate CMB from Planck mission. These consist radiation measurements at na...

We report on the first Fermi Large Area Telescope (LAT) measurements of the so-called "extragalactic" diffuse gamma-ray emission (EGB). This component of the diffuse gamma-ray emission is generally considered to have an isotropic or nearly isotropic distribution on the sky with diverse contributions discussed in the literature. The derivation of the EGB is based on detailed modeling of the brig...

We compare the spectral properties of the millisecond and slow pulsars detected in the Parkes 70 cm survey. The mean spectral index for the millisecond pulsars (MSPs) is –1.9±0.1 whereas the mean spectral index for the slow pulsars is a surprisingly steep –1.72±0.04. A Kolmogorov-Smirnov test indicates that there is only a 72% probability that the two distributions differ. As a class, MSPs are ...

Broadband time-ordered data obtained from telescopes with a wavelength-dependent, asymmetric beam pattern can be used to extract maps at multiple wavelengths single scan. This technique is especially useful when collecting on cosmic phenomena such as the microwave background (CMB) radiation, it provides ability separate CMB signal foreground contaminants. We develop method determine optimal lin...

Objective: In this paper, finite element model of the L4 vertebra subjected to combination of compression and flexion loading in isotropic and anisotropic cases is investigated. Methods: In both cases, the vertebra is considered homogeneous. Also, the body of vertebra is divided to cancellous and cortical sections in anisotropic model, but the process is assumed isotropic such as isotropic mode...
