Abstract We introduce and discuss a multivariate version of the classical median that is based on an equipartition property with respect to quarter spaces. These arise as pairwise intersections half-spaces associated coordinate hyperplanes orthogonal basis. obtain results existence, equivariance, asymptotic normality.
