In geostatistics, spatial data will be analysed that often come from irregularly distributed sampling locations. Interest is in modelling the data, i.e. estimating distributional parameters, and then to predict the phenomenon under study at unobserved sites within the corresponding sampling domain. The method of universal kriging for spatial prediction was introduced to cover the problem of spa...

The purpose of this paper is to study the convergence and the almost sure T-stability of the modied SP-type random iterative algorithm in a separable Banach spaces. The Bochner in-tegrability of andom xed points of this kind of random operators, the convergence and the almost sure T-stability for this kind of generalized asymptotically quasi-nonexpansive random mappings are obtained. Our result...

In this paper, the homotopy perturbation method (HPM) is applied to obtain an approximate solution of the fractional Bratu-type equations. The convergence of the method is also studied. The fractional derivatives are described in the modied Riemann-Liouville sense. The results show that the proposed method is very ecient and convenient and can readily be applied to a large class of fractional p...

In this paper, modication of the optimal homotopy asymptotic method (MOHAM) is appliedupon singular initial value Lane-Emden type equations and results are compared with the available exactsolutions. The modied algorithm give the exact solution for dierential equations by using one iterationonly.

In this article the nonlinear mixed Volterra-Fredholm integral equations are investigated by means of the modied three-dimensional block-pulse functions (M3D-BFs). This method converts the nonlinear mixed Volterra-Fredholm integral equations into a nonlinear system of algebraic equations. The illustrative   examples are provided to demonstrate the applicability and simplicity of our   scheme.

In this paper, a modied version of LLL algorithm, which is a an algorithm with output-sensitivecomplexity, is presented to convert a given Grobner basis with respect to a specic order of a polynomialideal I in arbitrary dimensions to a Grobner basis of I with respect to another term order. Also a comparison with the FGLM conversion and Buchberger method is considered.

We present a number of autofocusing methods in lighting microscopy for its use in diatom identi cation. Among these, the Tenengrad method has been considered one of the best. The basic requirements for a practical autofocusing system are speed, sharpness and robustness to noise. Recently other focus measures based on a modi ed Laplacian method are said to perform better than Tenengrad. We inves...

This paper proposes a method to solve problem that comes with imbalanced training sets which is often seen in the practical applications. We modied Self Growing Neural Network CombNET-II to deal with the imbalanced condition. This model is then applied to practical application which was launched in '99 Fog Forecasting Contest sponsored by Neurocomputing Technical Group of IEICE, Japan. In this ...

The study of linear fractals has gained a great deal from the study of quadratic fractals, despite important dierences. Methods for classifying points in the complement of a fractal shape were originally developed for quadratic fractals, to provide insight into their underlying dynamics. These methods were later modied for use with linear fractals. This paper reconsiders one such classication, ...
