Presented is a patient with dyspnea and painful ulcers finally resulting in multi-organ failure. A detailed history resulted positive PCR testing for Chlamydia psittaci. We emphasize the importance of definitive establishing correct diagnosis. When clinicians observe failure, they should be aware psittacosis.
