A firm tends to associate capacity planning with economic scale size and demand fulfillment for profit maximization. However, it is troublesome capacity dilemmas to achieve both of them simultaneously in stochastic environment. We propose a multi-objective stochastic programming with data envelopment analysis (DEA) constraints to find a compromise efficient benchmark.

More than 200 papers have been published in the last 20 years on the topic of health supply chains (HSC). Looking at the research methodologies employed, less than 15 papers apply data envelopment analysis (DEA) models. This is in contrast to, for example, A Network Data Envelopment Analysis (NDEA) Model for Supply Chain Performance Evaluation where several reviews on respective NDEA models hav...

Data envelopment analysis (DEA) has gained great popularity in environmental performance measurement because it can provide a synthetic standardized environmental performance index when pollutants are suitably incorporated into the traditional DEA framework. Past studies about the application of DEA to environmental performance measurement often follow the concept of radial efficiency measures....

This article compares two techniques: Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and Factor Analysis (FA) to aggregate multiple inputs and outputs in the evaluation of decision making units (DMU). Dِata envelopment analysis (DEA), a popular linear programming technique, is useful to rate comparatively operational efficiency of DMUs based on their deterministic or stochastic input–output data. Factor analys...

Parametric stochastic frontier models have a long history in applied production economics, but the class of tractible parametric models is relatively small. Consequently, researchers have recently considered non–parametric alternatives such as kernel density estimators, functional approximations, and data envelopment analysis (DEA). The purpose of this paper is to present an information theoret...

the portfolio is a perfect combination of stock or assets, which an investor buys them. the objective of the portfolio is to divide the investment risk among several shares. using non-parametric dea and dea-r methods can be of great significance in estimating portfolio. in the present paper, the efficient portfolio is estimated by using non-radial dea and dea-r models. by proposing non-radial m...

On account of the existence of uncertainty, DEA occasionally faces the situation of imprecise data, especially when a set of DMUs include missing data, ordinal data, interval data, stochastic data, or fuzzy data. Therefore, how to evaluate the efficiency of a set of DMUs in interval environments is a problem worth studying. In this paper, we discussed the new method for evaluation and ranking i...

Running any dairy enterprise is a risky activity: the profitability of the enterprise is affected by the price fluctuation of feed and animal health products from inputs, as well as by the fluctuation of end-product prices. Under these circumstances, it is essential for the cattle breeders, in order to survive, to harness the reserves in management as effectively as possible. In this research t...
