In 1969 Lindenstrauss and Rosenthal showed that if a Banach space is isomorphic to a complemented subspace of an Lp-space, then it is either a Lp-space or isomorphic to a Hilbert space. This is the motivation of this paper where we study non–Hilbertian complemented operator subspaces of non commutative Lp-spaces and show that this class is much richer than in the commutative case. We investigat...

We give a systematic study on the Hardy spaces of functions with values in the non-commutative L-spaces associated with a semifinite von Neumann algebra M. This is motivated by the works on matrix valued Harmonic Analysis (operator weighted norm inequalities, operator Hilbert transform), and on the other hand, by the recent development on the non-commutative martingale inequalities. Our non-com...

We use the injective envelope to study quasimultipliers of operator spaces. We prove that all representable operator algebra products that an operator space can be endowed with are induced by quasimultipliers. We obtain generalizations of the Banach-Stone theorem.

The notion of B-convexity for operator spaces, which a priori depends on a set of parameters indexed by Σ, is defined. Some of the classical characterizations of this geometric notion for Banach spaces are studied in this new context. For instance, an operator space is BΣ-convex if and only if it has Σ-subtype. The class of uniformly non-L(Σ) operator spaces, which is also the class of BΣ-conve...

We generalize an important class of Banach spaces, namely the M embedded Banach spaces, to the non-commutative setting of operator spaces. The one-sided M -embedded operator spaces are the operator spaces which are one-sided M -ideals in their second dual. We show that several properties from the classical setting, like the stability under taking subspaces and quotients, unique extension proper...

We characterize the pairs of operator spaces which occur as pairs of Morita equivalence bimodules between non-selfadjoint operator algebras in terms of the mutual relation between the spaces. We obtain a characterization of the operator spaces which are completely isometrically isomorphic to imprimitivity bimodules between some strongly Morita equivalent (in the sense of Rieffel) C*-algebras. A...

Overview of the field. NoncommutativeLp-spaces are at the heart of this conference. These spaces have a long history going back to pioneering works by von Neumann, Dixmier and Segal. They are the analogues of the classical Lebesgue spaces of pintegrable functions, where now functions are replaced by operators. These spaces have been investigated for operator algebras with a trace, and then arou...

Controlled frames in Hilbert spaces have been recently introduced by P. Balazs and etc. for improving the numerical efficiency of interactive algorithms for inverting the frame operator. In this paper we develop a theory based on g-fusion frames on Hilbert spaces, which provides exactly the frameworks not only to model new frames on Hilbert spaces but also for deriving robust operators. In part...
