we consider the number of zeros of the integral $i(h) = oint_{gamma_h} omega$ of real polynomial form $omega$ of degree not greater than $n$ over a family of vanishing cycles on curves $gamma_h:$ $y^2+3x^2-x^6=h$, where the integral is considered as a function of the parameter $h$. we prove that the number of zeros of $i(h)$, for $0 < h < 2$, is bounded above by $2[frac{n-1}{2}]+1$.

The computation of robust H∞ performance of linear systems subject to polytopic parametric uncertainty is known to be a difficult problem in robust control. In this paper, quadratic parameter-dependent Lyapunov functions, with polynomial dependence on the uncertain parameters, are exploited to provide upper bounds to the robust H∞ performance. It is shown that such bounds can be computed via co...

The effect of partial slip and temperature dependent fluid properties on the MHD mixed convection flow from a heated, non-linearly stretching surface in the presence of radiation and non-uniform internal heat generation/absorption is investigated. The velocity of the stretching surface was assumed to vary according to power-law form. Thermal transport is analyzed for two types of non-isothermal...

This paper investigates robust stability, H2 performance, and H∞ performance analysis for polytopic systems, i.e. Linear Time-Invariant Parameter-Dependent (LTIPD) systems in which the parameters lie in the unit simplex. Our results are derived via multiple “slack variable” approach, which has previously been proposed for the non-negativity check of polynomial functions, using Polynomially Para...

We study the chromatic polynomial PG(q) for m× n squareand triangular-lattice strips of widths 2 ≤ m ≤ 8 with cyclic boundary conditions. This polynomial gives the zero-temperature limit of the partition function for the antiferromagnetic q-state Potts model defined on the lattice G. We show how to construct the transfer matrix in the Fortuin–Kasteleyn representation for such lattices and obtai...

Till now, different constitutive models have been applied to model the hot deformation flow curves of different materials. In this research, the hot deformation flow stress of API X65 pipeline steel was modeled using the power law equation with strain dependent constants. The results was compared with the results of the other previously examined constitutive equations including the Arrhenius eq...

Kernelization—a mathematical key concept for provably effective polynomial-time preprocessing of NP-hard problems—plays a central role in parameterized complexity and has triggered an extensive line of research. This is in part due to a lower bounds framework that allows to exclude polynomial-size kernels under the assumption of NP * coNP/poly. In this paper we consider a restricted yet natural...
