After our work [1] was published, Frink and Meißner [2] pointed out that the O(q3) three-flavour meson-baryon chiral Lagrangian presented there was not minimal. Here, we critically review their paper and revise ours. Remarkably, we find that the effective meson-baryon chiral Lagrangian at O(q3) contains 76 monomials, i.e. eight less than in [1] and two less than in [2].

We construct arcs K of cardinality 2q + 1 in the projective space PG(3, q3), q = ph, p > 3 prime, from a cubic curve C. By construction, K is stabilized by a p-Sylow subgroup of the projectivities preserving C and it is contained in no twisted cubic of PG(3, q3). In particular, we prove the exact values R(K− 4 ,K − 4 ,K − 4 ) = 28, R(K8, C5) = 29, R(K9, C6) = 41, R(Q3, Q3) = 13, R(K3,5,K1,6) = 17, R(C3, C5, C5) = 17, and R(K− 4 ,K − 5 ; 3) = 12, and in addition improve many additional upper bounds.
