Eight species attributed to Tmeticus are reviewed; five are redescribed and illustrated: Tmeticus affinis (Blackwall, 1885), Tmeticus bipunctis (Bösenberg & Strand, 1906), Tmeticus nigriceps Kulczyński, 1916, Tmeticus ornatus (Emerton, 1914) and Tmeticus tolli Kulczyński, 1908. The new genus, Paratmeticus gen. n. is erected for Tmeticus bipunctis, and a new combination is established: Paratmeti...

This paper is an investigation on the categorial status of locative and temporal WHs. We argue, based on empirical data, for the null P hypothesis proposed by Huang (1982), and against the proposal of Murasugi and Saito (1992) that when and where are sentential arguments. We suggest that the problem raised in Murasugi and Saito (1992) for the null P analysis can be solved by the null P incorpor...

The existence of contractible edges is a very useful tool in graph theory. For 3-connected graphs with at least six vertices, Ota and Saito (1988) prove that the set of contractible edges cannot be covered by two vertices. Saito (1990) prove that if a three-element vertex set S covers all contractible edges of a 3-connected graph G, then S is a vertex-cut of G provided that G has at least eight...

We characterize the irreducible, admissible, spherical representations of GSp4(F ) (where F is a p-adic field) that occur in certain CAP representations in terms of relations satisfied by their spherical vector in a special Bessel model. These local relations are analogous to the Maass relations satisfied by the Fourier coefficients of Siegel modular forms of degree 2 in the image of the Saito-...

Let W?C[x1,?,xN] be an invertible polynomial with isolated singularity at origin, and let G?SLN?(C?)N a finite diagonal special linear symmetry group of W. In this paper, we use the category MFG(W) G-equivariant matrix factorizations its associated VSHS to construct version Saito's theory primitive forms. We prove there exists canonical categorical form characterized by GWmax-equivariance. Conj...

Certain non-tempered liftings from PGL(2) × PGL(2) to PGSp(4) are constructed using the theory of (local and global) theta lifts. The resulting representations on PGSp(4) are the Saito–Kurokawa representations. The lifting is shown to be functorial under certain reasonable assumptions on the local Langlands correspondence for PGSp(4).

In this short survey paper we present an outline for using the Saito-Kurokawa correspondence to provide evidence for the Bloch-Kato conjecture for modular forms. Specific results will be stated, but the aim is to provide the framework for such results with an aim towards future research. 1. The Bloch-Kato conjecture for modular forms In this section we will review the Bloch-Kato conjecture for ...
