Robust alignments between ICD and MedDRA are essential to enable the secondary use of clinical data for pharmacovigilance research. UMLS makes available ICD-to-MedDRA mappings, but they are only poorly specified, which introduces difficulties when exploited in an automatic way. SKOS vocabulary can help achieve quality and machine-processable mappings. We have developed an algorithm based on sev...
Abstract— In this paper, a packet combining method known as symbol mapping diversity (SMD) is investigated. In an SMD scheme, the bit-to-symbol mapping in -ary modulation is varied among multiple transmissions of the same packet (e.g., ARQ). It has been shown that multiple transmissions of the same packet using SMD provide better bit error performance than a scheme where the same bit-to-symbol ...
The work presents a new method for the design of ideal secret sharing. The method uses regular mappings that are well suited for construction of perfect secret sharing. The restriction of regular mappings to permutations gives a convenient tool for investigation of the relation between permutations and ideal secret sharing generated by them.
We introduce in the present paper a Gauss–Newton-type method for solving generalized equations defined by sums of differentiable mappings and set-valued mappings in Banach spaces. Semi-local convergence and local convergence of the Gauss–Newton-type method are analyzed.
In 1970 Poletskĭı applied the method of the module of a family of curves to describe behavior of quasiregular mappings (in another terminology mappings with bounded distortion) in Rn. In the present paper we generalize a result by Poletskĭı and study a singular set of a quasiregular mapping using the method of the module of a families of curves on Carnot groups.
