Subclavian steal syndrome (SSS) has been well described in the setting of subclavian stenosis. We describe an unusual case of SSS caused by a high-flow arteriovenous dialysis fistula in the absence of subclavian stenosis, provide a review of the literature, and propose that arteriovenous fistula-induced SSS is an underdiagnosed cause of syncope in this population of patients.
The arteriograms and other findings in 42 patients with the subclavian steal syndrome were statistically evaluated to determine which factors predisposed to vertebrobasilar ischemia. Evidence of disconnection of the circle of Willis between the territories of the carotid and vertebral arteries was found in a significantly higher proportion of the patients with vertebrobasilar insufficiency. Thi...

Introduction: Subclavian steal syndrome refers to the reversal of vertebral blood flow in the setting of proximal subclavian or innominate artery severe stenosis or occlusion resulting in the symptoms of vertebrobasilar insufficiency related to exercise of the upper extremities. It is more common on the left side. Case report: We reported a case of subclavian steal syndrome on the right side in...
We presented a case of subclavian steal syndrome which has been evaluated and treated quantitatively by using fractional flow reserve technique. Treatment strategy to resolve symptoms of angina in patients with steal syndrome is controversial. Quantitative evaluation should direct choice of treatment strategy.

Coronary-subclavian steal syndrome represents a reversal of blood flow in left internal mammary artery. The most common cause of the syndrome is atherosclerotic disease in the ipsilateral, proximal subclavian artery. We present a case of 72 years old male, who developed severe anginal and neurological complaints three years after coronary artery bypass graft surgery(CABG).
UNLABELLED Subclavian steal syndrome (SSS) involves changes in hemodynamics secondary to proximal subclavian artery stenosis and/or occlusion where the subclavian artery "drains" the blood from the vertebral artery. It sometimes induces neuromuscular symptoms, especially in cases with bilateral involvement. We report the case of a 65-year-old symptomatic male with severe bilateral SSS with comp...
