Four coordinate tetrahedral (Pd0 and Pt0) and square planar (Rh+ and Ir+) complexes of triphenyl phosphine and 1-benzyl tetrazoline-5-thione have been prepared and characterised on the basis of elemental analysis and spectroscopic data (IR, UV-vis, 1HNMR). Bonding of tetrazole ligand occurs through thione tautometric form. Determination of oxidation state of central metal atom in the complexes ...

One-pot synthesis of substituted pyrroles by a cascade reaction of azides with Morita-Baylis-Hillman acetates of acetylenic aldehydes is described and the reaction is efficiently mediated by triphenyl phosphine at room temperature. Sodium azide is successfully used to provide N-unsubstituted pyrroles, while alkyl azides afforded the corresponding N-alkylated pyrroles through a sequence of allyl...

The coordination geometry of the Cu atom in the title compound, [CuI(C(7)H(8)N(2)S)(C(18)H(15)P)(2)], is distorted tetra-hedral; it is coordinated by two triphenyl-phosphine P atoms, one S atom from N-phenyl-thio-urea (ptu) and one I atom. The crystal structure is stabilized by intra- and inter-molecular N-H⋯I and N-H⋯S inter-actions.

The asymmetric unit of the title mononuclear compound, [Ag(C(6)H(5)ClNO(3)S)(C(18)H(15)P)(2)], contains four independent mol-ecules. In each of the mol-ecules, the Ag(I) cation is three-coordinated by two triphenyl-phosphine ligands, and one N atom from a 2-amino-5-chloro-benzene-sulfonate anion. The mol-ecules are linked into a one-dimensional supra-molecular structure by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

In the crystal structure of the title compound, C(9)H(13)BO(2)·C(18)H(15)OP, there are O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between the O atom of triphenyl-phosphine oxide and one hy-droxy group of the boronic acid. Boronic acid mol-ecules form inversion-related hydrogen-bonded dimers in an R(2) (2)(8) motif. The structure is consolidated by inter-molecular C-H⋯O bonds and C-H⋯π inter-actions.

The Pd(II) atom in the title compound, [PdBr(2){P(C(6)H(5))(3)}(2)]·CHCl(3), lies on a twofold rotation axis and is coordinated in a distorted square-planar geometry by two P atoms from two triphenyl-phosphine ligands and by two Br atoms in a trans arrangement. The chloro-form solvent mol-ecule is equally disordered about another twofold rotation axis.

In the title compound, [RuCl(2)(C(5)H(14)N(2))(C(18)H(15)P)(2)], the Ru(II) atom is six-coordinated, forming a slightly distorted octa-hedral geometry, with two chloride ions in an axial arrangement, and two P atoms of two triphenyl-phosphane and two chelating N atoms of the bidentate 2,2-dimethyl-propane-1,3-diamine ligand located in the equatorial plane. The average Ru-P, Ru-N and Ru-Cl bond ...

The title compound, [Pd(C(2)H(3)OS(2))(2)(C(18)H(15)P)], features a palladium complex with a triphenyl-phosphane ligand and two xanthate ligands, one of them coordinates in a bidentate and the other in a monodentate fashion, giving rise to a slightly distorted square-planar coordination of the Pd(II) ion. As a result of this difference in the coordination modes, the C-S bond lengths are differe...

In the title compound, [Ir(C(18)H(15)P)(2)(CO)(3)]PF(6)·CH(3)OH, the Ir(I) atom is coordinated by two triphenyl-phosphine ligands in axial sites and three carbonyl ligands in the equatorial plane of a fairly regular trigonal bipyramid: the equatorial C-Ir-C angles range from 115.45 (9) to 126.42 (10)°. The small deviations from the ideal tetra-hedral geometry around the P atoms are illustrated ...
