This paper deals with road detection in an outdoor environment. By comparison with preceding approaches, which use various sensors, our system uses only a monocular camera. In this paper, we propose a novel approach a fusion of frequency based vanishing point estimation and probabilistically based color segmentation.

A method for the fronto-parallel recovery of paragraphs of text under full perspective transformation is presented. The horizontal vanishing point of the text plane is found using an extension of 2D projection profiles. This allows the accurate segmentation of the lines of text. Analysis of the lines will then reveal the style of justification of the paragraph, and provide an estimate of the ve...

We consider the problem of matching perspective views of coplanar structures composed of line segments. Both model-to-image and image-to-image correspondence matching are given a consistent treatment. These matching scenarios generally require discovery of an eight parameter projective mapping. However, when the horizon line of the object plane can be found in the image, done here using vanishi...

The florentine Tommaso Cassai (1401-c.1427) 1 better known as Masaccio, has been hailed as the first great painter of the Italian Renaissance and his fresco Trinity (c.1425, Santa Maria Novella, Florence) as the first work of Western art that used full perspective. It appears that the author was inspired and actually helped by his friend Filippo Brunelleschi (1377-1446), the celebrated architec...

The theory of local homology modules was initiated by Matlis in 1974. It is a dual version of the theory of local cohomology modules. Mohammadi and Divaani-Aazar (2012) studied the connection between local homology and Gorenstein flat modules by using Gorenstein flat resolutions. In this paper, we introduce generalized local homology modules for complexes and we give several ways for computing ...

In this paper, we study generalized Douglas-Weyl Finsler metrics. We find some conditions under which the class of generalized Douglas-Weyl (&alpha, &beta)-metric with vanishing S-curvature reduce to the class of Berwald metrics.

Polyorchidism is a rare congenital anomaly of the genital tract in which more than two testes are present, usually within the scrotum. Less than 100 cases of polyorchidism have been reported in medical literature till date. The most common form is the presence of three testis referred as triorchidism or tritestis. There are characteristic sonographic features of polyorchidism, and the diagnosis...

Polyorchidism is an unusual abnormality of the genital tract in which supernumerary testes are present. To date there have been 178 reports (198 cases) of polyorchidism in the English literature. To our knowledge, only two cases of bilobed testis have been previously described in the paediatric literature. It may be presumed that a bilobed testis is an incomplete expression of triorchidism. Sin...
