The dopamine D(2) receptor exists as a long (D(2a)) and a short (D(2b)) isoform generated by alternative splicing of the corresponding transcript, which modifies the length of the third cytoplasmic loop implicated in heterotrimeric G-protein-coupling. Anatomical data suggested that this segment regulates the intracellular traffic and localization of the receptor. To directly address this questi...
Abstract Introduction: Estrogen receptor-positive (ER-positive) breast cancer is a subgroup of breast tumors that is more likely to respond to hormone therapy. ER-positive and ER- negative breast cancers tend to show different patterns of metastasis because of different signaling cascade and genes that are activated by estrogen response. Genetic factors can contribute to high rates of metastas...

In the present paper we introduce and study the notion of pairwise weakly Lindelof bitopological spaces and obtain some results. Further, we also study the pairwise weakly Lindelof subspaces and subsets, and investigate some of their properties. It was proved that a pairwise weakly Lindelof property is not a hereditary property.
This paper proposes the use of weakly structured memory organization as a means of helping people develop and maintain memory from heterogeneous information sources. In order to endorse the claim, we have implemented a system called CM-2. CM-2 is characterized as an intelligent ampli er whose primary design goal is enhancement of human intelligence. CM-2 helps users: (a) build the memory contai...
The oestrogen receptor content of colorectal adenocarcinoma was investigated using an established ligand binding biochemical assay and two more recently introduced techniques using specific monoclonal antibodies (Abbott ER-EIA and ER-ICA assay kits). Twenty nine tumours were investigated by the ligand binding assay. Only one (3.4%) tumour gave a weakly positive result (11 fmol/mg cytosol protei...
Viral strategies for immune evasion include inhibition of various steps in the class I MHC assembly pathway. Here, we demonstrate that adenovirus produces one gene product with a dual function in this regard. It is well established that adenovirus E19 binds class I molecules and retains them in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). However, E19 also delays the expression of class I alleles to which i...
INTRODUCTION A significant barrier to medical diagnostics in low-resource environments is the lack of medical care and equipment. Here we present a low-cost, cloud-connected digital microscope for applications at the point-of-care. We evaluate the performance of the device in the digital assessment of estrogen receptor-alpha (ER) expression in breast cancer samples. Studies suggest computer-ass...
in this paper we introduce the concept of weakly prime ternary subsemimodules of a ternary semimodule over a ternary semiring and obtain some characterizations of weakly prime ternary subsemimodules. we prove that if $n$ is a weakly prime subtractive ternary subsemimodule of a ternary $r$-semimodule $m$, then either $n$ is a prime ternary subsemimodule or $(n : m)(n : m)n = 0$. if $n$ is a $q$-...
Immunohistochemical localization of estrogen receptor (ER) using specific monoclonal anti-human estrogen receptor antibody, H222, with an immunoperoxidase technique was performed on fresh frozen tissue derived from 100 endometrial adenocarcinomas. Immunohistochemical evaluation incorporated both intensity and distribution of staining. In all cases, H222 localized in the nucleus of target cells....
